Pakistani Wedding

We are about to head out to my friends Madeha wedding, she will be having a typical Pakistani wedding in Buena Park LA. Aside from her wedding I have a fear of traveling the same routs I once did with some one I loved. Deep inside my heart I know that I need to redeem all the memories that I once build, tough I still look back with sorrow and wish things would have been different for the two of us. But for me to redeem all these paths, places and things has been to create new memories, with friends like Madeha and Adam who will be my traveling companion, always keeping in mind that Christ is working in and on my life, building my character and developing a Big process of sanctification that has marked one of the most important parts of my life.

I love you my God and my Savior for looking down to me, for your hand of correction, your mercy that covers me and your grace that is given to me every day in a new and amazing way; All these I can not comprehend it over passes my imagination, thank you for loving me first!

The dangers of the emergent church

Well, it has caught my attention this topic of the emergent church in America. I just realize not long ago that the church that I go to might be part of this “movement” that it’s main objective, from my point of view, is to click with culture and bring young people to Christ. But at what cost?

Now the dangers of the emergent church are the same dangers that any other church faces, it does not mater if it is a conservative church or a liberal one, it simply is the separation from the true message of the Gospel. Liberal churches can embrace too much culture and get lost in it, conservative churches can separate themselves from culture to avoid falling into the worldliness that it could bring into the church. Other churches can get lost in the experience of feeling God only, other has fallen into false doctrine… and the examples are hundreds but the problem is the same: the true message of Christ got lost somewhere along the way.

I thank God that has given me the opportunity to go through many different churches, learn from many people, live in different countries and grow based on my own life experience, Because of these I can see that my church does not belong to the emergent church “movement” but they still want to get closer to culture and make it part of the church and always making the Gospel the center of everything!!
